About us
The genesis of the Danubius Exim company takes place in 1994 from the desire combined with the determination of Mrs. Nadejda Ganeva, when she entered the Romanian market as a distributor of medicines manufactured in Bulgaria. In 1996, she established the partnership with Datecs Ltd for the distribution of cash registers, giving up in 1998 the pharmaceutical sector, focusing all her attention on fiscal equipment. The collaboration with Datecs Ltd is still in full swing today.
1999 was the year when the law of electronic cash registers with fiscal memory was instated in Romania: OUG 28/1999. Danubius Exim, in collaboration with Datecs Ltd, designed the first electronic cash register that respected all the legislation points to the letter. Furthermore, this ECR, Datecs MP500TR, was given the number 1 technical approval in Romania.
With a headline like the Datecs representative in Romania, Danubius Exim started in 1999 to build a network of authorized dealers that in 2024 surpasses 350 units.
Always with a finger on the pulse of the market, the company brings in 2001 the first portable ECR. A new concept in Romania at that time, this ECR was the first one to introduce the concept of portability and mobility.

Its pioneering mission in informing, educating and digitizing the local tax field has confirmed its leading position in the market, but above all the trust of its employees, partners and customers.
In their organic growing pattern of the company, the next step was the card payments. In 2006 they partner up with the French company Ingenico for the distribution of devices that accept card payments named EFTPOS. Although short termed, 5 years, this partnership consolidated the foundation on the banking side of things for Danubius Exim.
The development of the company never stopped, in 2013 having approved the first fiscal ECR with Bluetooth, capable to work with iOS, Android or Windows Ce. The next year, 2014 marked the introduction to the Romanian market of the first portable fiscal printer of small dimensions: Datecs FMP-10.
Creating a department specialized in paying devices gave Danubius Exim in 2017 PCI DSS certification level 1 for key injection facility.

The year 2018 was pivotal for the fiscal legislation in Romania. The new law stated that all the ECRs needed to have online communication with ANAF (National Anti-Fraud Association). In line with thew 1999 success, Danubius Exim got the technical approval certificate from 1 to 7 for 7 ECR models.
In the year 2020, the BlueCash concept was born, an ECR, EFTPOS and Android operating system under the same cover and after many prototypes in 2021 it was approved and released as BlueCash 50. The brainchild of Danubius Exim and the execution of Datecs Ltd this device is unique in Romania and offers multiple development opportunities.
Danubius Exim is a company in continuous growth and development, always pushing the boundaries and thinking towards the future.
